In today’s world, technology is everywhere. We can take advantage of technology every day, in our homes, offices, in public places, and more. We have microwaves, cell phones, Wi-Fi, televisions and radios, computers and laptops – the list is seemingly endless. But with all this technology around us, we can’t help but become more exposed to electromagnetic fields, and this, in reality, isn’t good.
While the earth naturally produces EMFs and we can find EMFs in the earth’s atmosphere (in fact, we produce them ourselves), extreme exposure can have drastic effects on our health, as specific studies have shown. For instance, constant EMF exposure can lead to the development of imbalance in our bodies resulting in mood disorders, insomnia, allergies, fatigue, stress, and even the development of some cancers. While we can’t avoid EMFs altogether, there are some ways we can mitigate their effects. Here’s what you can do to get protection from EMFs.
Use grounding from the earth
In centuries past, human beings walked on their bare feet on the ground, and they spent most of their time outdoors. In fact, science has shown that grounding can occur if you have contact with a natural surface, such as the soil or grass. If you have a regular connection to the earth, your body’s stress levels can decrease, and your body can become more alkaline. Grounding can also lead to improvements in the body’s immune system and other vital benefits. If you can’t find the time to walk barefoot on the ground or if you live in a city where soil or grass is scarce, you can benefit from an alternative means of grounding. Surround your living or office space with plants or spend time outdoors whenever you can, such as during your lunch break or on your way to work.
Protect your abode
Our home is our haven – a place where we can be ourselves and be as comfortable as possible. But there are some hidden (and not-so-hidden) dangers in our homes as well, such as all our electronic appliances, gadgets, Wi-Fi connections, etc. Everything you use which converts electricity to energy or power can emit EMFs, and this includes your coffee maker, microwave, cell phone, television, printer, laptop or computer, and a myriad of other gadgets and appliances. While we’re not saying that you should get rid of them altogether, the best you can do is unplug these appliances when you aren’t using them. You can also make an effort to use wired rather than wireless, especially in regard to speakers, keyboards, and mouse pads.
Pay particular attention to your bedroom
Your bedroom is where you lay your head to rest at the end of the day. It’s particularly essential to make sure that it is as safe a haven as possible; try to make it a place for sleep or rest and nothing else. Try removing the television from your bedroom, using laptops in other rooms, and keeping your cell phone in airplane mode while it is in your bedroom.
